Who this covers

SewaCore is operated by SewaCore. This policy covers two groups: the non-profit organisations who subscribe to SewaCore, and the visitors, members and donors who use the websites those organisations publish through it.

What we store for subscribing organisations

Account and contact details for the people who administer the organisation, the content they publish, and their configuration — branding, domain, payment keys and policy text. Payment credentials for their payment gateway are encrypted at rest and are never shown back in full.

What we store on behalf of organisations

When someone joins as a member, registers for an event or donates on a site built with SewaCore, the details they submit are stored so the organisation can act on them: name, contact details, the amount paid and the receipt issued. This data belongs to that organisation. We process it on their instructions and do not use it for our own purposes, sell it, or share it between organisations.

Payments

Donations and membership fees are processed by Razorpay, using the organisation’s own account. Card and banking details are entered with Razorpay and never reach our servers. We record only the outcome of a payment and the details needed to issue a receipt.

Cookies and tracking

Sites published with SewaCore set a session cookie when a member signs in to their own portal. We do not run advertising trackers or sell audience data. An organisation may add its own analytics, in which case that provider’s policy also applies to their site.

How long we keep it

For as long as the organisation’s subscription is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that an account can be restored or exported. Financial records may be kept longer where Indian law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. If your data was submitted to a specific NGO’s website, contact that organisation first, as it is theirs — we will help them action it. Otherwise write to us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will tell subscribing organisations by email before the change takes effect.
